About me

Hi! My name is Riley and I’m super excited to share this blog. My pronouns are he/him.

I’m a full-time educator in Colorado, but I am originally from Southern California. I have a Bachelor of Science in public health. In my spare time, I love to write, read, and create art.

Some of my current focuses:

  • Reading 20 books by the end of 2026
  • Training for my first 5k since childhood
  • Paying off over $90,000 of debt to become more financially free
  • Spending quality time with my partner of over five years
  • Being a good pet parent; I have two cats, a crested gecko, and a turtle

I’m hoping to use this blog as a space where any individuals can connect and relate to shared experiences. In sharing what I’m doing to improve my life, I strive to allow others to learn through my trials.

Some things I hope to post about include financial wellness, health, and personal goals.

Disclaimer: None of this is health advice or financial advice. I am just sharing my story as an example for others. I would not consider myself an expert on any topic I plan to write about.

FAQ

Why is it relevant that you’re trans?

Whether we like it or not, gender infiltrates our lives and colors all of our experiences. I believe that being trans has made my efforts to achieve my goals different from a cis man’s or even a woman’s experiences. I hope that other trans and nonbinary people can read this blog and relate.

Can I read this blog if I’m not trans?

Yes. I encourage it!
